Personalized Valentine’s Songs Offered by The Racing City Chorus
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – For the 14th year, the Racing City Chorus of Saratoga Springs will dispatch tuxedo-clad quartets all over the Capital Region to deliver “Singing Valentines” — love songs, chocolates, a red rose and a personalized Valentine card.
The singing valentines, sung in four-part harmony, can be expanded to include more chocolates, more roses or both.
The packages will be available from Friday, Feb. 12, through Monday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., any place within Washington, Warren, Saratoga, Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties — at offices, schools, restaurants, bowling alleys, hospitals, nursing homes — wherever loved ones can be found.
Jerry Crouth, chorus member and chairman of this event, has reduced the cost for the various package prices by about 10 percent.
“We always thought we were a bargain, but this year we aim to be more so because of the economy” Crouth said. “The chorus, a nonprofit group, has been delivering singing valentines as a fundraiser, with lots of repeat business and new-found followers every year.”
The songs, roses (from The Posie Peddler in Saratoga), and chocolates (from Saratoga Sweets in Clifton Park) make a wonderful Valentine.
